Equipment Check-out
If you are in need of a DVD Player, a Video Camera, or a Digital
Camera, you can contact me to sign out the equipment. Sign-out is
by faculty only and for use by faculty only. If students wish to
check out a camera for a class project they must do that from the
library.
AV REPAIR
If your overhead bulb burns out please call me at ext. 4221 with
the type of bulb (ENX, DYS, or EYB) and I will try to get it to
you at my first convenience. Otherwise you may send a student to
my room D221 to pickup a bulb and then replace it yourself.
LCD Projector Startup & Shutdown Routine
LCD projector bulbs cost about $500
each, so make sure that you follow the following directions to keep
an LCD available for your use.
Make sure that when you startup
an LCD projector, you have all AV Equipment that you are using attached
to the projector. Turn on the projector by holding down the power
button on the projector or on the remote. Use the input button on
most projectors to switch between the computer and the video inputs.
If you are not getting a picture on the LCD projector from your
computer (laptop) you need to switch the view using the Function
button and the CRT/LCD button (ex. Fn
F8). When you shut down the projector, YOU MUST make sure that the
projector fan has either turned off or the LED Power light has changed
color from red to green, before un plugging or moving the projector.
If you DO NOT do this the projector will not startup correctly the
next time and will need time to correct the problem.
If you have any other AV repair needs either call or email me (kdale@rths.rochelle.net)
and I will either try to fix it or have it sent out for repair.
The AV repairman arrives about twice a month on Thursdays. My free
time to attend to your AV needs is 1st hour all year.
